The Special Task Force of Police (STF) arrested a 38-year old man at Wanawasala in Kelaniya with a pistol, two magazines and Rs. 27.5 million in cash, police said.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the STF also recovered a 1200cc BMW motorbike from the suspect’s house. e was handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) for further investigations.
He said the man would be detained to ascertain the assets he had earned.
