Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, who met with Canadian High Commissioner David McKinnon said, Sri Lanka would like to see more Sri Lankan-Canadians come back and invest in the country.
The Prime Minister’s Media Division said Prime Minister Rajapaksa held a wide-ranging discussion with High Commissioner McKinnon last morning.
Sectors discussed during the meeting included trade and investment, local politics, educational reforms and reconciliation.
The high commissioner spoke of a number of entities that had invested in various sectors in Sri Lanka while the Prime Minister noted that Sri Lanka would like to see more investments from Sri Lankan-Canadians.
