A group of supporters of the “Ape Jana Bala Pakshaya” (Our Peoples Power Party – OPPP) yesterday demonstrated in front of the residence of party’s Gampaha leader Jeewan Chaturanga Shrimal demanding not to appoint Ven. Athureliye Rathana Thera to the only National List slot the party won at the August 5 Parliamentary election. The Secretary of the OPPP Ven Wedinigama Wimalatissa Thera had earlier nominated himself to the seat, but had gone missing since.
