NFC absconds HRC?

The National Film Corporation (NFC) Chairperson and General Manager who were summoned before the Human Rights Commission for hearing on Friday, November 1 had not turned up. The case was accordingly postponed for next week.


This was in connection with the petition submitted by the following and the case was heard for the third  time. Local Film Producers Association, “Eka Renaka Kurullo” film Producer and “Jayasri Amathithuma” film Producer Janaitha Marasinghe complained to the HRC against what they called an injustice meted out to them during the last month in connection with the release of their films as the NFC /Rithma circuit cinemas which refused  to release their films.
