Youth thrown under moving bus to death in Kandy

A 24-year old youth was pushed to death under a moving bus on the Kandy-Udawela Road yesterday following a dispute.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that two groups of drunken men were travelling in a three wheeler and in a van had an argument on the road last evening.

The youth in the van was pushed to death under an Udawela-bound bus when the dispute culminated.

The spokesman said two suspects have been identified and the Kandy Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

The bus was taken into police custody while a statement was recorded from the bus driver. (DSB)

Remember, being associated with any religion does not mean that everything following that religion are same. Safety for the country means that safety from mass terrorist attacks.

Safety does not include false charges and assault from the SL Police on Law students excluding off springs of Ex-Provincial Governors. Others are meat in the sandwich to be used. Depraved and idiotic action of the police in detaining the Bus and not those men involved in the drunken spree on a Poya day (Not following abstinence in a Buddhist country). This has nothing to criticise the Religion. It's beyond religion and about Police partisanship and stupidity.
