UNP working committee which met today concluded without a final decision on party leadership and decided to meet on first week in September to make the final decision.
This was mentioned in an official statement from the party.
UNP Legal Secretary Nissanka Nanayakara told journalists after the working committee meeting at Sirikotha today that the final decision on new leader and the revamping the party will be made during first week in September.
“The final decision on the new leader and on the revamping of the party will be made during the first week of September. This means the final decision on the new leader will be made in a week's time" Mr. Nanayakara said. (Yohan Perera)

Another farce. Ranil at his best. He said no leadership change until after the PC elections but when will it be ?. This man's 'modus operandi' is plainly clear. Same tactics applied during the last Presidential last year. The plain truth is that 99.9 percent people are sick and tired of seeing his face anymore
