Trains suspended due to railway station workers’ strike
The train services have been suspended due to a strike launched by the railway station workers in Colombo, a senior railway official said.
He said the trade union action has begun pointing out the unavailability of fuel for them to report for duty.
The official further said the reason was due to the non releasing of the trains that are parked at the railway yards.
Negotiations have started to provide fuel to the employees of the yards enabling them to come to work. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
