A Sub Inspector (SI) of Police Special Task Force (STF) attached to the Gonahena STF Camp has committed suicide by shooting himself at the camp.

The 59 year old SI who was in charge of the armoury at the Gonahena STF camp in Kadawatha, is a father of two.

The victim was identified as resident of Jalthara, Kaduwela. (DSB)
