Sri Lanka Cricket team is not among the top ten in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League while England have climbed to the top following their victory over India.
The ICC Cricket World Cup Super League will help decide which teams feature in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. India, who are the hosts in 2023, and the other top seven teams will qualify automatically for the World Cup.
The bottom five teams will play a qualifying tournament, which will also feature the best teams from the lower rungs of competition.
Thirteen teams are taking part in this competition. These are the 12 Full Member nations, along with the Netherlands. Each team will play a total of 24 ODIs in one cycle of the competition.
Each team gets 10 points for a win, five for a tie/no result/abandonment and none for a loss. Teams will be ranked according to total points earned across the eight series.

Probably, Sri Lankan Legends team is better than the National team. This is mainly due to the selector who gave priority to players who belong to his religion, so many good players had been omitted from national team. This person needs to be formerly charged for his criminal offence.

SLC will come up with a brilliant answer as they do in front of COPE. Don't be surprised if they say that this is a strategy to get weaker teams into the top ten and beat them.

SLC is born again and are looking for great salvation by not qualifying to play the world Cup. Send these SLC officials to find their own salvation and appoint the masters now at least we can play 2027 Cup.

25 yrs after been crowned the Champions of the World SL succumb to non existent in the top 10.Can it get any worse? The only way SL cricket can revive from this point is by drilling into the mindset of its management and players that YOU PLAY CRICKET FOR YOUR COUNTRY, not to make big bucks, buy BMWs and flats in London.

I am not defending SLC. The board is corrupt and the first class structure is pathetic. However, I don't think that the problem is selection. Talented people have been given chances. They have just failed. Also, this table is dubious. So India is #8! SA is not even in the top 10. Afghan, Ban, Zim and even Ire are in the top 10. There is something wrong with these rankings.

Sri Lanka is far behind other countries like Afghanistan and Bangladesh who received test status only recently because we are still living in the past celebrating our only world cup victory 25 years ago.
