Pro-LTTE supporters agitate after Theekshana joins CSK

A social media campaign was launched by pro- LTTE activists against Sri Lanka's spinner Mahesh Theekshana after Chennai Super Kings [CSK] picked Theekshana at the IPL auction 2022.

A day after the IPL 2022 Auction, fans took to Twitter to call for a boycott on CSK for picking Maheesh Theeksana at the bidding event.

Theeksana was signed by CSK on day 2 of the IPL Auction for a sum of INR 70 lakhs and after he was roped in by the defending champions, fans took to Twitter to express their dismay and called for a boycott on the franchisee.

Several social media users expressed their fury over CSK's decision to buy Theekshana as he represents the Sri Lankan Army.

    When our boys comes to play in India, we should be extra vigilant with these nasty LTTE supporters. Indian Govt. is responsible if anything goes wrong.
