The Public Gallery of Parliament which was closed due to COVID-19 pandemic, will remain closed until further notice, Parliament sources said.
Sergeant-at-Arms of Parliament Narendra Fernando said that the Public Gallery will remain closed until the recommendations are received from the health authorities.
The health ministry recently issued health guidelines to be followed by Members of Parliament and visitors during parliament sittings.
Sittings of the 9th Parliament commenced on August 20 and two sittings were scheduled for August 27 and 28. (Ajith Siriwardana)
