Over 300,000 COVISHIELD vaccines inoculated

A total number of 302,857 vaccines out of 500,000 Oxford–AstraZeneca Covishield vaccines have been administered as of yesterday, said the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health.

A total number of  39,078 vaccines were given yesterday.

The vaccination drive in Sri Lanka began on January 29 at the Army Hospital in Colombo.

Meanwhile, around 1,500 airport staff including security personnel at he Bandaranaike International Airport have been vaccinated as of today.
