UNP MP Mujibur Rahman yesterday requested the High Court to hear the cases of violent incidents reported in the North Western Province and in Minuwangoda.
He said it was through the High Court that terrorism related cases are also being heard.
“Therefore, the suspects who were arrested over recent violent incidents should also be produced in a Special High Court to expedite the investigations. If the cases were heard in regional courts, it may take years to complete a case,” he said.
