The Education Ministry has decided to fully function all Government and Government approved private schools which had to close during the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Although the total number of students in schools over 200, were permitted to open to conduct studies according to the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry.
The Ministry also advised the Chief Secretaries of Provinces, Provincial Education Secretaries, Provincial Education Directors, Zonal Education Directors, Heads of Pirivenas and all Principals to reopen schools, only if they have sufficient infrastructure to maintain social distance, sufficient classrooms with sufficient teachers.
