Medical, ambulance service in case of emergency during O/L exam: Exam. Comm. Gen.

Department Commissioner General Sanath B. Pujitha said the O/L examination scheduled to be held at 4, 513 examination centres with coordination 542 centres.

Relevant coordinations could be established with the nearest hospitals by the respective examination centres to obtain services and ambulance services,  in the event of COVID-19 emergency.

Health Ministry Secretary and Health services Director-General have been informed of this arrangement, the Commissioner General said.

A Principal, a vice-Principal or a senior teacher of the schools will be appointed as an additional exam centre invigilator to coordinate disinfection, ensuring facilities at exam centres and also to assist the healthcare workers if required.

The 2020 GCE O/L Examination will be held from March 1 onwards for ten days. (Chaturanga Samarawickrma)
