Govt. to cancel fuel pricing formula: Amaraweera

Power and Energy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today the Ministry hopes to cancel the fuel pricing formula in the future.

He told Daily Mirror the Ministry had requested clarification from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) on the repercussions of cancelling the fuel pricing formula.

"We have to discuss the cancelling of the fuel pricing formula with the President and the Prime Minister before arriving at a decision," he said.

“Our Government will not do anything that would harm the people,” the minister said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
