Fuel under Indian credit line arrive

Ships freighting fuel such as diesel and petrol supplied under Indian credit line, berthed into Sri Lankan ports during the last 24 hours, the High Commission of India in Colombo said.

In a Twitter post, they said one consignment each of 36,000 MT of petrol and 40,000 MT of diesel have reached the country.

They said the cumulative supply of various types of fuel under the Indian assistance now stands at over 270,000 MT.

Govt should allow exporters who need diesel to pay for these ships, give 70% for the exclusive use of the said exporters and use the balance 30% for power generation. Settle the exporters later for the 30%. Otherwise exports will reduce and even the few dollars we are getting will be lost to the country. Eg Cocunut Industry based exports, Fish exporters etc.

I ma from india . on dialy read this paper because your country is facing economic crisis till date. however, your recommendation is good that prevent your country economy .Govt of sri lanka i.e. GR and MR could not handling your country economy in proper manner so today you seen this situation . My country India helped in all areas prefarebly basic necessities . You country has trapped on Chinese debt. I Hope your country quickly recover from this crisis.
