Fly Dubai, the number one budget airline in the Middle East, which had temporary suspended its operation to Sri Lanka due to COVID-19 pandemic, resumed its operations this morning with the arrival of a Boeing 737 aircraft.
An official of the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport said the first Fly Dubai flight FZ-557 arrived at the BIA with 58 passengers on board from Dubai, UAE.
The aircraft later took off from the BIA with 166 passengers to Dubai.
The airport officials said that the 'Fly Dubai' Airlines will operate direct flights from Dubai to Sri Lanka twice a week; on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now onwards. (T.K.G. Kapila)
