FR against Elpitiya PS election dismissed

The Supreme Court today dismissed the fundamental right petition challenging the Election Commission’s decision to hold the elections to the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha.
 
Petitioners  S.M.Yeshan Nayanjith, S.M.Maleesha Dilhan and S.A.M. Devinda Abeywardena, who are voters and residents of the area in their petition, sought the Supreme Court to restrain EC  from holding the election. (S.S. Selvanayagam)
