Heavy traffic was reported on the Baseline Road in Colombo due to a protest march staged by Government Development Officers. The protest march started from the Borella Cemetery Roundabout and continued towards the District Secretariat in Narahenpita. The protestors demanded the government to expedite the promises given to them including the payment of the promised Rs. 3,000 allowance for Gamperaliya and Grama Shakthi programmes.
