Covid-19 cases reported today surge to 555

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported today increased to 555 with 235 more cases being reported today, the Government Information Department said.

All the cases reported today are close contacts of the Peliyagoda fish market cluster.

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C); is a new pediatric disease associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that is dangerous and potentially lethal.
