Beware of motorbike theft; 6 cases within 24 hours

An organized gang is operating in various areas indulging in stealing motorcycles and six such incidents have been reported within a 24-hour period, the police warned.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said six motorcycles have been stolen yesterday in Katana, China Bay, Chunnakam, Puttalam, Polpithigama and in Anuradhapura areas.

He said there is an alarming increase in motorcycle thefts  and urged the public to take all precautionary measures and not to fall prey to such crimes.

    No imports. So the motorcycle prices had gone up and became Gold for the thieves. Blame it on the Government.
