Air Force aircraft crashes in Haputale, four airmen killed

Four airmen were killed when an Air Force fixed-wing Y-12 aircraft crash landed in Haputale this morning, Air Force Group Captain Gihan Seneviratne said.

He said the aircraft was on its way to Weeravila on an aerial observation when it crash-landed.

The aircraft crash-landed at 9.15 a.m and several teams had been sent to the location to investigate the incident, he added.
