Twenty-three suspects, including a woman, were arrested during a special search operation carried out by the police and the military personnel in the Narahenpita area from 7 am to 3 pm today.
Military personnel found 15 kilogrammes of explosives, six jungle swords, several army caps, 14 bullets of a 16-bore gun, 29 mobile phones, several communication units, two tablet PCs, four milligrammes of heroin and Rs.137,820 in cash from five houses at Dabare Mawatha during the raid.
The Narahenpita Police are investigating.

The finds probably have nothing to do with the terrorists. But here you can clearly see how violent and criminal many people are in Sri Lanka. Not a good advertisement to attract tourists and investors.
