SLIM reveals secrets of sales success at open day

Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) recently conducted an open day for thenational diploma in sales management (NDSM) for prospective students and sales personnel with the aim of educating them about the NDSM programme and the secrets of success in sales.
The open day was carried out with the participation of a large gathering of enthusiastic sales personnel at SLIM Home Colombo and in SLIM Business Schools Kandy and Matara.Important insights were given to them onSales Management and the advantages of following NDSM.
The informative session provided the students an opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge about Sales Management and the programme. This paved the way for them to make an informed decision to pursue a highly recognized national diploma from SLIM, the national body for marketing. Students who enroll for this diploma programme can complete the programmein an year at SLIM Business Schools.
UpulAdikari, President - SLIM said, “SLIM’s objective and indeed my personal vision is to aggressively promote Sales Management among the working crowd engaged in the sales field and provide a proper environment for the students to be exposed to it. I am confident that this diploma will enhance the sales skills of these students enabling them to drive growth in sales of their respective organizations.”
Thilanka Abeywardena–Asst. Secretary SLIM said, “SLIM has given due importance to the crucial area of sales through NDSM and the fact that it is a diploma offered by the national body for marketing, will add a lot of weight and recognition to the qualification.”
Sanath Senanayake - CEO /Executive Director – SLIM said,“The success of the programme so far has been extremely pleasing and I would like to thank all speakers for the encouraging messages shared by them and their resounding recommendations.”     “I also wish to thank the stakeholders of this programme who support to elevate the stature of those who enroll for the programme”.
NDSM is a programme which caters to sales career minded candidates seeking to acquire specific competencies to differentiate themselves from conventional sales personnel. It is also suitable for those in the marketing or business development force intending to enhance their skills in sales management.
