The National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), confirmed to Daily Mirror that a worker at a construction site in Havelock City had tested positive for the new variant of COVID-19 and said further information could be obtained from the Epidemiology Unit.
“The NOCPCO has confirmed that there has been a construction worker at a construction site at Havelock City who has tested positive. For further clarifications, you can contact the Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera,” a military officer said after having obtained the information directly from the NOCPCO.
