Two persons who were injured in a road accident at Bandawa in Polgahawela were tested COVID-19 positive at the hospital.

The van transporting a group of passengers from Colombo had veered off the road and toppled at Bandawa on the Colombo – Kurunegala road when the driver fell asleep and lost control of the van.

Police said four passengers were injured and admitted to Kurunegala General Hospital where they were subject to Rapid Antigen tests and two were found positive.
