The leaders of the United National Party (UNP) and its alliance partners have agreed to work out a criterion for the selection of their presidential candidate, Daily Mirror learns.   

There was a special meeting attended by its leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Deputy Leader Minister Sajith Premadasa, Ministers Ravi Karunanayake, Rauff Hakeem, Mano Ganeshan, Navin Dissanayake and Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.   


According to a Minister who attended it, there is agreement on most of the disputed areas as far as the formation of the National Democratic Front (NDF) is concerned.
