The Colombo Chief Magistrate has issued a Court Order banning protests and demonstrations in  the vicinity of Hulftsdorp between September 1 and September 10, Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said yesterday. 

The Court Order comes in the wake of the Sinhale organization general secretary Ven. Madille Pannaloka Thera, Ravana Balaya Convener Ven. Iththe Kande Saddhatissa Thera and other monks planning to hold protests in the vicinity of Hulftsdorp.   The Magistrate also ordered that no act of disturbance of the peace or riot should be committed.
