President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will have bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at noon today at Hyderabad House.
The President took wing to India yesterday along with a small delegation that comprised of the President’s Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara, Treasury Secretary Sajith Attygalle, Advisor to the President Lalith Weeratunga, Foreign Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha and Private Secretary to the President Sugeeswara Bandara.
According to informed sources, the two leaders will mainly focus on cooperation on national security, future investment projects and projects that are already in the pipeline.
This is the first ever official visit by the President upon election to office at the presidential polls conducted on November 16. The presidential entourage will return on Saturday.
