Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the executive had lodged a complaint with the Meegahawatta Police after staging a drama that Rs. 2.3 million in cash and a cheque worth Rs. 84,000 belonging to the company had been robbed when the money and cheque were being taken to the bank on Thursday.

According to the complainant, the robbery was committed by two men who came on a motorcycle.
