Pindapatha programmes were held in various parts of the country on Saturday in view of the Thripitakabhivandana week which is a part of a campaign to declare the Theravada Thripitakaya a world heritage. Picture shows the Pindapatha procession led by Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya, Senior Prof. Ven. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkhitha Nayake Thera touring the Kelaniya Sacred City. Kelaniya ASP M.A.R.A. Gunaratne and Kelaniya Police OIC IP Sudath Walpola also accompanied the Maha Sangha who participated in the programme.
