Judge Sobhitha Rajakaruna appointed to Special Presidential Commission

Appeal Court Judge Sobhitha Rajakaruna has been appointed as a member to the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Political victimisation. 

Earlier, the President appointed a three-member Special Presidential Commission to implement the recommendations of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) on political victimisation. 


However, Judge Sobhitha Rajakaruna was appointed as a member of the commission following the resignation of Ratnapriya Gurusinghe. 


A gazette notification has been published by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on February 19 following the appointment.
