NDF presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa yesterday pledged interest-free loans of Rs.300,000 each for three-wheeler owners.  Addressing an election rally held at Pahatha Dumbara, he said interest-free loans would be provided for three-wheeler owners to improve their livelihood. “The objective of this move is to improve the lifestyle of more than 300,000 three-wheeler drivers countrywide,” he said.

He reiterated that his rival from the SLPP in the presidential election fray kept mum over the challenge for an open debate. “I challenged the SLPP presidential contender for a debate a fortnight ago. He still remains silent. What do you think of that?” he asked those thronged at the rally.
