A 6-year-old girl died when a gate fell on her at Thambuththegama yesterday.   

She had gone with her mother to a teacher’s house and the gate fell on her when the mother tried to open the gate of the house.   

Police said the girl was seriously injured in the accident and has died on admission to the Thambuththegama Hospital. The deceased was identified as a resident of Musalpitiya.   

Thambuththegama Police are conducting further investigations.
