A disinfectant manufactured by the Health Department of the Embilipitiya Urban Council was handed over to the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council to be distributed among government institutions.
A senior official of the Embilipitiya UC said the Sevanagala Sugar Factory had supplied a stock of alcohol to manufacture the disinfectant used in washing hands. He said it was manufactured up to the standards prescribed by the health authorities.
Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Chairman of the Embilipitiya UC Lalith Gamage, and PHI Thusitha Hettiarachchi were present at the occasion.
