Degrading words being used against them SLFP forum of local bodies to protest

• against Mahinda Amaraweera and duminda Dissanayake

The Forum of Local Bodies of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) in Galle has decided not to participate in any meetings that are attended by party’s former General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake and the General Secretay of the United Peopels Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Mahinda Amaraweera.   

They have taken this decision alleging that these two leaders have described the members of local government bodies in degrading words.  

Forum of Members of Local Bodies of SLFP in Galle has unanimously approved a proposal submitted by Pradeshiya Sabha Member Buwaneka Nanayakkara of Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha at a meeting of the Forum recently.   

Thirty eight out of fifty two members of the Forum had participated in this meeting and they have accused the two leaders of the party that they have denigrated the people’s representatives elected at local level.
