Beliatta Pradeshiya Sabha Opposition Leader (UNP) Kapila Amarakoon had been hospitlised with gunshot injuries yesterday morning, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.  

The PS member had been injured in an incident at his house at Pallattara, Modarawala in Beliatta at around 7.00 am yesterday and the victim was admitted to the Tangalle Hospital, SP Gunasekara said.   

It was reported that the PS member’s mother had found him lying on the bed with gun shot wounds and admitted him to the hospital.   

The Beliatta police are investigating the incident.
