Corporate banking customers of HSBC Sri Lanka can now benefit from ‘Touch ID Log On’ to gain quicker and easier access to their account and balance information through the ‘HSBCnet’  mobile app.
The Touch ID Log On feature uses a recognised fingerprint instead of passwords and is quick and easy to set up.
“Increasing regulation, tighter credit availability, the rise of faster growing markets and increasing globalisation of the world economy have all led to an increase in the importance of world class cash management which HSBC offers. Our introduction of the ‘Touch ID Log On’ feature on to the screens of our clients help them effectively manage their cash while offering greater mobility and convenience,” said Peter Hughan, Head of Commercial Banking  for HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives.
“Our corporate banking customers are increasingly using their mobile devices to access their account information and transact. The launch of Touch ID Log On represents an important step towards biometric banking and brings the benefits of more secure and more convenient mobile banking services to our corporate banking customers.”
Over 1,600 users in Sri Lanka now use the HSBCnet Mobile app and over 100,000 corporate and business banking customers are currently using the app globally.
‘Touch ID Log On’ is now available to corporate and commercial banking customers in Sri Lanka who use compatible Apple mobile devices and will be made available on Android platform in due course.
