Racism has been the bread and butter of SL politicians since independence starting with SWRD, Sirimavo and now MR. Today under MR, if a sinhalese throws a stone at a muslim shop, it is termed "reaction of an infuriated majority" and he is free, while if a tamil argues for his rights it is termed terrorism or LTTE supporters. This culture of the sinhalese will never die because their politicians have made them insecure using the minority card to win elections.

In Sri Lanka the citizens and politicians are all the same. If the politicians are racist, who is electing them...the logic is racist citizens. Therefore the equation is that we are a racist nation. That is why Weerawansa's, Mervyns, SWRD, Champika's and Mahinda's are all hero's while others are traitors.
