Accident on Kiribathgoda Bridge

Pictures show a private bus precariously placed on the edge of the Kiribathgoda Bridge in Colombo Kandy road this morning. The bus heading to Colombo from Nittambuwa had being going at an excessive speed and crashed into the railing of the bridge. Two persons in the bus had suffered minor injuries due to the accident. Pointless, nothing will be done. Speeding buses is a frequent site at any time of the day. Police are around when this happens & they do nothing about it. Unless they have some target to achieve.

This is what happens when driving licences are given for money . That plus a corrupt and bribe taking police force are the leading cause for such accidents. Heaven help Sri Lanka !
