22-year old Sirimal Prasanna Kumara, a Sinhala Corporal of the Sri Lanka Army married 20-year-old Tamil girl, Mary Theresa of Mullaithivu at the Thanniruviru Christian Church today, amid many top brass Army officials, relatives and friends. Pic by Romesh Madushanka
It looks like a forced wedding. If it is a Christian Wedding - Why is the girl does not wear white dress?! And his Uniform says everything about the Sri Lankan Armys! It is just a annoying topic. Who knows the girl could be a Singalese aswell and its all about the SL Government to push their Image! So Tamil people - It could be a face news!

Why not? It is customary to wear the uniform at a wedding ceremony. If the church allows and there's no objection from the bride, why should it worry others?
unchikun Sunday, 30 June 2013 01:52 PM
"Till death do us apart" or only till the elections. Is this the first time a serviceman marries a Tamil in Sri Lanka?
kandykolla Sunday, 30 June 2013 01:57 PM
Congratulations....!! But intermarriage between all races and religions do happen and it`s not a miracle. If the above bride was a former rebel, now that is news...!! I don`t know why this event gained such publicity ??
