Why would an Amy cobral be in army uniform on his wedding.? It does not sound normal to me.

Ice mama Sunday, 30 June 2013 11:19 PM

    Rev. Senior said this:-

"When al the races have blended
And the voice of strife is done
To rise to the call of a single bugle
And march to the beat of a single drum"

I wish this young couple, happiness, health and love and peace for the rest of their lives.

Bin kunda Monday, 01 July 2013 12:57 AM

Why not? It is customary to wear the uniform at a wedding ceremony. If the church allows and there's no objection from the bride, why should it worry others?

    nalaka Monday, 01 July 2013 04:05 AM

you havent seen a military wedding in all your life

    sal Monday, 01 July 2013 05:00 AM

sadly thse kind of things shows how the militarization and sinhalization are being further entrenched in the north east

    kumar Monday, 01 July 2013 08:06 AM

Is it worth to put in news items? Govt. propaganda wa against Tamils.

    Tamil Monday, 01 July 2013 01:46 PM

It looks like a forced wedding. If it is a Christian Wedding - Why is the girl does not wear white dress?!
And his Uniform says everything about the Sri Lankan Armys! It is just a annoying topic. Who knows the girl could be a Singalese aswell and its all about the SL Government to push their Image!
So Tamil people - It could be a face news!

    weha Sunday, 30 June 2013 03:26 PM

This is some sort of eye wash i guess. just to show the international public that everything is just normal. but anyways congratz to the couple and hope they have a happy wedded life.

    kandykolla Sunday, 30 June 2013 01:57 PM

Congratulations....!! But intermarriage between all races and religions do happen and it`s not a miracle. If the above bride was a former rebel, now that is news...!! I don`t know why this event gained such publicity ??

"Till death do us apart" or only till the elections. Is this the first time a serviceman marries a Tamil in Sri Lanka?

    saccagavesi Sunday, 30 June 2013 03:34 PM
