It is really pathetic to see this ground, once was looking beautiful with crowd enjoying, playing with family. This man is either jealous of such or stupid!

Aha! This is where the honourable MPs collect their mud.

    Justice Wednesday, 06 October 2010 06:14 AM

Why the HELL Parliament Grounds ? We have lost the Kettaram Stadium. All the time the focus is on Sports grounds and recreational areas for show off... Why not consider the plight of the public.... and leave us tax-payers a lone to spend some time in such places and value what is left for us...

    Sushmitha Wednesday, 06 October 2010 06:18 AM

The exhibition ws gud & useful. We went, bt mst thnk twice before starting such an exhibition....

    pwc Wednesday, 06 October 2010 06:34 AM

Exhibition is good. But left space to the opposition to talk someting against it.

    chami Wednesday, 06 October 2010 06:36 AM

This money could have use for the real purpose instead of an exhibition.

    Hasiya Wednesday, 06 October 2010 07:22 AM

    Thats True Ishan

    Hasiya Wednesday, 06 October 2010 07:25 AM

Dnt think like that ... exhibitions too serve a purpose... Do not try to underestimate every work of the Govt. !

    willow Wednesday, 06 October 2010 07:35 AM

    TMA Wednesday, 06 October 2010 07:54 AM

What 2 do? U can't overestimate nonsense. Hasiya, what exactly was the purpose of this particular mud exhibition

    Meeharak Wednesday, 06 October 2010 08:03 AM

Please don't criticize our projects without knowing the facts. This new swimming pool project was completed in a novel way, with no cost to the public. As Sri Lankans we must live like Sri Lankans and use this pool to cool ourselves.

    Sampath Wednesday, 06 October 2010 09:11 AM

According to Rupavahini, this was a successful event as Rupavahini is a failed media organization. lol :p

    Dr I.M.C.Fernando. Wednesday, 06 October 2010 09:29 AM

Any body using state land for any official purpose should put the land back to its original condition. In this instance it appears the Ministry of Construction and engineering is the guilty party !! The Minister concerned should surely take immediate action to resolve matters.

    Manikya Wednesday, 06 October 2010 09:42 AM

Thats true... Maha Raja should resign....

    modawansa Wednesday, 06 October 2010 09:52 AM

Parliament is in a mess. Both inside and outside.I suspect this to an act of the "UN".un-necessary act of the WW.

Smart Aleck Wednesday, 06 October 2010 10:08 AM

Bread, Chicken and other consumer goods prices have gone Sky High! Is this the time for these political jokers to hold lavish exhibitions, wasting public funds, just to curry favour and score points with His Royal Highness, MR?

    daham Wednesday, 06 October 2010 01:14 PM

Most of the commentators seem to be politically motivated and narrow minded and they know that WM did a second-less role at the presidential campaign so their choice got defeated. That is why they sling mud at WM using this opportunity to get some self satisfaction.

There were so many instances in Sri lanka that even cricket tournaments were badly effected due to bad whether.

Due to global warming even whether patterns are now unpredictable.

Should be fair and impartial when writing a comment.

    polkiccha Wednesday, 06 October 2010 03:09 PM

The relevant minister is simply a public figure - a performer of sorts useful for election campaigns and nothing else. how can we expect normalcy. ?

    polkiccha Wednesday, 06 October 2010 03:11 PM

wee flower isn't smart enough to make a judgement let alone a wrong one.....

    ajith Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:12 AM

    Total flop.
    Waste of public money.

Nalin Pradeep Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:33 AM

    pradeep Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:42 AM

Why the hell did Weerawansa have it on parliament grounds.
The exhibition was a total washout due to rains, an utter flop. there are so many other places like BMICH to hold exhibitions and Wee flower always make wrong judgments

    pradeep

    ishan Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:51 AM

Did you go? dont make comments if you didnt see it

    Thassim Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:51 AM

Useless project of another brainless minister. WW trying to gets Publicity wasting public money. What a country of this???

    Upul Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:58 AM

Even if the relevant ministry take action to correct this mess, it is general publics' tax paying money involved, not WW's personal money. Before holding this sort exhibitions relevant ministries should do an cost benefit analysis and an EIA. On thing is sure, Had majority of Sri Lankans had a so called Tun Kal Dakma, definitely people like WW would not have been what he is today.

    Dammika Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:00 AM

It's not "Thunkal dekma". Now it's calling "MADA WEL DEKMA"

    Fayad Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:02 AM

This is a work of people who don't have "DEKMA"

    Hippo Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:04 AM

In Sri Lanka mistakes always happen. We never learn or try to learn from mistakes. When will we ever learn!

    TDDC Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:05 AM

These poor quality , uneducated politicians spoiling our environment and money, do not understand even the basic norms like seasonal rains. Who will reinstate this mesh? and at what cost? and who will pay? Wimal?

    Janaka Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:11 AM

He might have proudly called it "Thun Kal Dakma". But it is obvious to all that it is their "Ava Kal Dakma"

    monkey_mask Wednesday, 06 October 2010 04:31 AM

mistakes can occur , hope the relevant ministry will take actions to get things in to normalcy

    Nilupul Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:15 AM

'Thun kal dakma' = Having knowledge of past, present and future.

Doesn't the picture tell the 'Thun kal dakma' of our law makers?

    Dinesh Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:15 AM

Better leave it as it is and ask 225 Membeers to near by house to use it as a swimming pool.

    Mercy Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:16 AM

Not only this, what about the accident of back-up vehicle plunged into the lake and the damage to the water line ???? Shame on this Upawansa

Amal Withanage Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:17 AM

what a mess this is waste of resources
Good to have such a exhibition like this
but recoveries has to be same as preparations

    prabath Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:18 AM

WW would have been appointed as aggragation Minister.

    Aloy Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:18 AM

This is the so called LEADERS, DESISION MAKERS, they r going to see THUNKAL (Past, Present and Future) but they do not have sense to assume that it will rain and the floor would muddy....... LEADERS WITH MOUTH AND BELLY WITHOUT BRAIN....

    Ajeez Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:21 AM

    Thun Kal Raewateema !

Bluff Bluff Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:29 AM

If this is the short term result of the "thun kal dakma" what would it be in long term? Only mud?

    Lalindra Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:31 AM

What EIA even they have not thought about the weather conditions prevail in Sri Lanka during this period. This Thun kal dekma was an utter failiure due to the rain

sanjaya gunathilake Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:32 AM

Wimal uruwansa can dance merrly now......

    Concerned Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:32 AM

Why not get the 225 members in the house adjoining this place and get them to covert it to a paddy field to sow paddy? Of course then they won't be able to play cricket there any more!

Senior citizen Wednesday, 06 October 2010 05:35 AM
