Utter waste of tax payor money. Grandstanding is good for rich countries, our armed forces should spend more time on nation building, rather than parading in fancy uniforms.

When armed forces are in existence, these inspections are a must. Tax payers money or otherwise. It is vital for maintaining discipline among the rank and file. Please do not look at this exercise from political view points.
