How come no one talks about fish?
Probably a thousand fish has to loose their lives to make one kg of haal messo or koonisoo.
So let us start protesting about the activity that kills the largest number of lives, and not the largest of lives.

Get a life you little Achari, you have below average intelligence.

Humans killing other animals whether it is sacrificial or for consumption is no acceptable. Whatever anyone has to say Homosapiens have the highest intelligence and no one can deny that animals are living creatures. They feel the same pain as humans. I hope the courts see the humane side. It's not about been vegetarian or about your personal feelings about Sri Lanka's human rights. It is barbaric !

We all are afraid of pain and death. It is not common for only human. I suggest everyone should think and imagine on how me, myself would feel, if the same act of killing committed to me by someone else behalf of faith in god.For a human being who has faith in god may sometimes feel slight happiness that I have sacrificed myself for god whom I am believe in, but for an animal who doesn't know anything about a god, whose only happiness is to live, food and sex, feel this only as fear, cruelty and may be wandering what’s the wrong I have done for them.Buddhist attitudes towards animal sacrifice https://goo.gl/Zg8uXT

What are you going to do about the carnivores in the jungle? Get rid of them? Because they kill other animals in a cruel way.
sltk2004 Tuesday, 28 August 2012 12:08 PM
An animal killing an animal is one thing. Do you want the humans also to behave like animals. May be you're not aware of them, but there are several laws related to killing animal for food. Besides the legal aspects another point is whether these killings should be done in the presence of kids etc...
dias Tuesday, 28 August 2012 12:05 PM
ban selling meat items in Sri-Lanka. Then has to stop killing automatically.
Kangaroo Wednesday, 29 August 2012 07:55 AM
Hey fool dont you eat meat? if killing is wrong eating it is also is wrong . God has created everything for us there is a balance in everything .
Dalu Banda Tuesday, 28 August 2012 12:26 PM
kam you are very silly, carnivores animals kill to eat for survival. The animal sacrifices are for a non- existing cruel mythological devil and should be condemned by any civilized world. If you want to kill and eat, please do so. Please also keep it in the mind that the stuff you eat in the night, will go to toilet in next morning.

Why they are not interested to fight against Liqur Shops, Human killing, child rape cases and other corruptions prevailing in the country really seems to be just against minority business
Fairose Tuesday, 28 August 2012 01:16 PM
One has to "Kill" for other to "Eat", You cannot make an 'Omelette' without breaking the egg.

Shehan Jayawardene Tuesday, 28 August 2012 01:37 PM
Aiyo dias...you say that if they ban the selling of meat in Sri Lanka, the killing of animals will stop automatically...so how come the killing of human beings goes on unabated in this country even though there is a death penalty against murder???
