Let's see the condition after few months, when the A/C is broken never replace, when the seats are broken, replace with different seats, in other words we are very poor in maintenance... Then luxury will be changed to semi luxury...

loku Tuesday, 03 January 2012 10:42 AM
So, how does one go about knowing whence these buses depart, the times, if a seat can be reserved, etc.?
Imran Hussein Tuesday, 03 January 2012 10:43 AM
Indian style luxury.

The name board is only in Sinhala. Not a good start. Are Foreigners and Tamil speaking people not required to go in this.Where is Vasu?
R Senanayake Tuesday, 03 January 2012 11:28 AM
This bus does not require a conductor when passengers are picked up and dropped off only at the beginning and destination. Fix a ticketing machine and let the driver manage the whole thing so that this service can be maintained economically.. That is how it is done in other countries.

good work only SLCTB, do not allow the private uncivilised buses to ply on the road and the three wheels, bikes
lalith deshapriya Tuesday, 03 January 2012 12:18 PM
Very good move but do they allow to sit on lap in the express way ride. the little boy also needs a seat and safety belt.
Jamie Tuesday, 03 January 2012 10:33 AM
Good work. But don't offer route permits to impolite, unprofessional Private bus owners.
SLTB can run a good service without them and earn a good sum.

Yes, Labby, u r right. Sri Lankan roads are already filled with the Indian buses, and they are not that comfortable. They could have provided at least something like Volvo or Hyundai. The such buses would be very expensive, but the government or any other private company can afford it, because it's not a big number - just few buses. I have traveled by this kind of Indian luxury buses and they are actually no different than the local buses with same seats, except the little A/C and the fan.
mohamed Wednesday, 04 January 2012 02:50 AM
good but expensive, the rate should be 250,
Gaya Wednesday, 04 January 2012 03:01 AM

kugan Wednesday, 04 January 2012 10:22 AM

mahajanaya Wednesday, 04 January 2012 10:18 AM
Cleaning at the end of the destination and continues maintanance is required. please dot let it become like some of the semi / luxury buses introduced in our country some time back.

I live in Singapore and when I compare the standards, the bus condition is very poor. Why r we following the Indian standards? When r we going to follow the western or the Singapore standards
kondebendapucheena Tuesday, 03 January 2012 09:04 AM

Andy Tuesday, 03 January 2012 10:20 AM

Don Tuesday, 03 January 2012 09:35 AM
excellent!! but the access roads to maharagama and kottawa are chockablock!! 1 hour on the highway, 1hour to get to the highway. if nothings done people will stick the old route.
Labby Tuesday, 03 January 2012 09:27 AM
I don't know about it being luxurious but the interior of the bus does not look very comfortable.
TSS Tuesday, 03 January 2012 09:28 AM

Sumedha Tuesday, 03 January 2012 09:12 AM
