Tusk got stuck in trunk

An elephant’s tusk got stuck with its trunk was saved by the Yala forest rangers on Thursday (19).The elephant that was in critical condition without being able to consume any food was later rescued by the Forest Rangers after making the animal unconscious. The elephant was identified as ‘Nandimithra’ who is a frequent roamer in Sithulpawwa area. (M K Nandasena, Katharagama)
