Yesteday was a once in a lifetime day for the whole world as it was the 12th day of the 12th month of the year 2012 but it was even more special for a young Sri Lankan couple whose baby girl was born at 12.12 pm.

This rare event was reported from Ratnapura General Hospital yesterday, when Gayani Prasanthika a teacher, gave birth to a baby girl exactly at 12.12 pm.
This little girl who will go down in history was delivered by a team of doctors led by Dr. Upali Jayawardene and a group of nurses.

The baby’s father Rukman Goonetilleke said he and his wife had become the luckiest parents in the whole world. “We are proud to have our first born on such a special day and at a special time,” he said
