The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL) yesterday issued the following message to all Sri Lankans celebrating Easter.

“THASL wishes all Sri Lankans celebrating this weekend, a happy and blessed Easter. As Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the brutal tragedy that struck our nation two years ago.

As we mourn the immeasurable loss of life and devastation on that day, we pray for the families and friends we lost and for those who struggle with their loss.  As we remember that dreadful day, THASL remains committed in our belief that only unity and love between all Sri Lankans can help us heal as a nation.

We recall Christ’s message of peace and forgiveness for those who wronged him.

The strength of any nation comes from the togetherness of its people. THASL is proud of tourism’s ability to celebrate Sri Lanka’s diversity.”
