Sri Lanka’s Santani Resorts & Spa wins big at WTM London

Sri Lanka’s Santani Resorts & Spa has won the Gold Award under ‘Best in Wellness’ category at the International Travel & Tourism Awards (ITTA) 2019 presented by World Travel Market (WTM) London.

Individuals, small businesses and large organizations from15 categories, have been rewarded with Gold, Silver and Highly Commended awards. 


The award winners were honoured in front of an audience of almost 500 senior industry professionals at the brand new venue Magazine London, overlooking Canary Wharf.


“It is an incredible global recognition for Sri Lanka, the Gold Award won by Santani says that they are the best in the world for wellness and spa surpassing a number of contenders worldwide,” Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) Managing Director Charmarie Maelge said.


“This outstanding recognition achieved by Santani certainly will help Sri Lanka as a destination to strongly amplify its presence as a wellness destination,” she added. 


Cinnamon Hotels was also recognised with a ‘Highly Commended’ award for their digital marketing efforts under TBC Asia 2018.
